Our Team
Our company consists of expert individuals with long and impressive histories both in South Africa and overseas. Ukwanda’s management team is supported by a diverse group of business experts from IT, finance, strategy, development finance, investment banking and private equity. Our directors have experience that cuts across both public and private sector.
Executive Leadership
Ms. Mamosa Motjope
Mamosa has, among other qualifications, a BSc in Electrical Engineering (Wits) and an MBA (Herriot Watt ). As the executive director of Ukwanda, she leverages her extensive experience in conducting due diligences in the areas of marketing, technical and financial for the manufacturing industry – where she has been involved in over 100 transactions. Mamosa is an expert in financial modelling, and transaction advisory. She also has proven expertise in software development, business analyses and project management, via her experience in the investment-banking environment. In the early stages of her career, Mamosa worked for companies such as Standard Bank, Absa Capital, JPMorgan (South Africa and London) and Gemini Consulting. She later ventured into the development finance sector and worked or provided services as a consultant to companies such as the Land Bank, the Industrial Development Corporation, and the National Empowerment Fund.
Mr. Sihle Buthelezi, CA(SA)
Mr. Sihle Buthelezi, is a chartered accountant with over 15 years of experience in the investment banking and private equity sector. He has worked in South Africa and in London. Sihle has worked for blue chip companies such as Standard Bank, Rand Merchant Bank, amongst other companies. After a decade in the investment banking sector, he was appointed as a fund manager at the WDB Growth Fund which is a Section 12j fund. Sihle is an expert in transactional advisory, company valuation, due diligence, financial modelling and capital raising. Sihle currently sits on the Independent Appeals Board of the Bargaining Council for the Civil Engineering Industry. He has previously served on the Board of CEDE Capital and various investee companies from his private equity roles. Sihle has a BCom Acc (Sumna Cum Laude) and CTA.
